Myles Bowman
Myles Bowman
is a master’s student at the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Currently, he is also employed at the Office of Information Technology at UTK and works as a graduate web developer specializing in website creation and maintenance for the department. Myles is currently taking part in graduate research with Dr. Benjamin Horne and The Media Landscape (MeLa) Lab investigating popularity drivers and content influences in alt-tech websites and services. His other research interests include information, misinformation, and disinformation spread across social networks and improvement of user interfaces to serve all users. He has a BSIS from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Additionally, Myles continues to cultivate an extensive toolkit of programming languages including Python, HTML, PHP, and JavaScript, as well as statistical software like R, JMP, and SPSS.
